Key Cyber Security Initiatives

OT Cyber Security

My journey in OT cybersecurity evolved from a robust background in IT security, where I was involved in incident response, threat management, and enterprise protection initiatives. During my time working with industrial networks and energy sectors, I identified the distinct challenges present in OT—such as legacy systems, operations critical to safety, and the need for uninterrupted uptime. This experience prompted me to focus on SCADA/PLC security, OT architecture, and standards like NIST and IEC 62443.

Conducted over 50+ cyber security sessions, providing insights into threat detection and risk management for industry professionals and colleagues. I have delivered sessions at GCCI, IIM-Ahmedabad, NFSU, RRU, Marwardi University, Mahyanchal Professional University, Adani Vidhya Mandir, Adani University, and more.

Podcast

I have had the chance to address various prominent platforms—ET CIO, ET CISO, OT Security Professionals, and The Mainstream—where I examined the changing landscape of OT cybersecurity. During these podcast discussions, I provided insights on how to secure SCADA/PLC environments, create robust OT architectures, integrate IT–OT SOCs, and enhance cyber maturity for critical infrastructure. Each dialogue centered on practical challenges, real-world threats, and the necessity for Zero Trust and visibility in industrial systems. My mission remains to streamline OT security and assist organizations in safeguarding their operational backbone.

I actively drive board-level discussions to reposition cybersecurity from a defensive cost to a strategic business enabler. At the board table, the focus is not only on risk reduction, but on how secure digital foundations accelerate growth, resilience, and trust. We discuss cybersecurity in the context of business continuity, operational excellence, regulatory confidence, and digital transformation. By aligning cyber strategy with business objectives, we enable faster decision-making, safer innovation, and sustainable value creation—making security a catalyst for growth rather than a constraint.

I have had the opportunity to engage with international leaders, CEOs, and technology executives from around the world to discuss the future of cybersecurity and the changing landscape of OT security. These discussions centered on creating resilient digital ecosystems, enhancing critical infrastructure, and shaping long-term cyber strategies for fast-growing sectors. Together, we examined the adoption of Zero Trust, the convergence of OT and IT, predictive defense strategies, and methods to secure extensive industrial operations. These conversations continue to shape my perspective on designing practical, scalable, and future-proof cyber and OT security frameworks.
